چکیده
search of new food-grade pH sensitive formulations, red beet extract rich in betacyanin was included different inorganic matrices based on silica and aluminosilicate to improve the stability dye. By direct method encapsulation pigments support, stabilizing agents such as inclusion complex forming ?-cyclodextrin ascorbic acid were added. The post loading system assumes synthesis porous powders adsorption by these supports. unloaded carriers structurally texturally characterized (X-ray diffraction, FTIR, N2-physisorption). presence betanin, approved a food colorant, evidenced UV-vis spectroscopy all hosts. Color properties investigated well generated color variations exposed ammonia head-space sealed vessel. obtained results could widen field applications extract, prepared ecological formulations provide added value edible products packaging.

Genetic engineering of yellow betalain pigments beyond the species barrier
Betalains are one of the major plant pigment groups found in some higher plants and higher fungi. They are not produced naturally in any plant species outside of the order Caryophyllales, nor are they produced by anthocyanin-accumulating Caryophyllales. Here, we attempted to reconstruct the betalain biosynthetic pathway as a self-contained system in an anthocyanin-producing plant species. The c...
متن کاملBetalain extraction from Hylocereus polyrhizus for natural food coloring purposes
Coloring preparations from Hylocereus polyrhizus have recently received attention because peel and/or aril of the fruit exhibit a high content of betacyanins. These pigments are of special interest due to their potential as a red food colorants with a high stability at neutral pH. To improve production yield and to obtain a concentrated Hylocereus fruit extract, Pectinex Ultra SP–L in various d...

Presentations at the 9th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, held in Seattle, February 24 to 28, 2002, continued to shed light on the complex interactions between HIV and the immune system. Major topics of discussion included natural hosts of simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) infection, the dynamics of T lymphocytes, the myriad mechanisms utilized by HIV to avoid host imm...
متن کاملImmobilization of xylanase using a protein-inorganic hybrid system.
In this study, the immobilization of xylanase using a protein-inorganic hybrid nanoflower system, was assessed to improve the enzyme properties. The synthesis of hybrid xylanase nanoflowers was very effective at 4°C for 72 h, using 0.25 mg/mL protein, and efficient immobilization of xylanase was observed with a maximum encapsulation yield and relative activity of 78.5% and 148%, respectively. I...
متن کاملImmunodeficiency lentiviral infections in natural and non-natural hosts.
The host immune system is profoundly affected during the acute phase of progressive immunodeficiency lentiviral infections. Studies of these alterations have been quite restricted in humans because of the limited availability of samples from acutely HIV-infected persons. Therefore, numerous studies have turned attention to nonhuman primate models. Specifically, SIV-infected rhesus macaques (RMs...
